Villas Josipek began as relaxing place for the family.
It was purchased on July 12 of 1993.
The property at that time was in very poor conditions,
there was’t any road and any electricity. Two
years after it was bought all the neighbor got together
and cooperate wait money in order to be able to have
electricity in the area.

After some time we were able to build a two floors
country house for 12 persons, thinking on hosting
2 families of 6 persons. Back in 1999 the Barquero
Barrantes family was forced to return to Alajuela,
this because of the necessary of their older daughters
to go to the University.
The monetary resources used to build this project
come from Mr. Jorge Barquero’s savings and a
small bank credit obtained by him. To finish with
the construction of this first stage of the project. |

The name “JOSIPEK” comes from the initials
of Mr. Jorge Barquero’s family: Jorge (father),
Sioni (mother), Pamela (daughter), Eunice (daughter),
and Karla (daughter).
